Hello Deathfall,
Please take a look at my short film "Kotori", as end of course project in Ars Animacion in Madrid. Is influenced by Japanese culture, and have used the technique of Sumi-e (japanese watercolor) and 3d into Maya, with quite postproducction in Combustion, to intregrate the 3d elements in a antique japanese picture.
