View Full Version : Portrait
This is my first entry in this forum, hopefully we can enjoy art together :D
Let's do it
And for all that are curious:
Hello Bracer ,,
Nice Portrait you have ! What modeling / rendering software have you used ?

Hello Mrdino :)
I'm using 3DS max & it's default scanline renderer.
It's best to keep things really simple, atleast for me.
not bad for a scanline render !
Good luck !
I have a LOT of fun playing with his hair.
Maybe next time I'll get myself involve in
some hair production pipeline :D
Ha Ha Ha
But right now I'm still trapped serving the military against my will,
once my freedom is regained I will never allow myself to be
controlled like this EVER again.
I am still using the basic Scanline renderer.
Simple blinn shader , three point lighting.
No SSS/Global Illumination/Ambient Occlusion and all that ho ha.
Just clean cut basic technology available a long time ago.
[Unless you're talking about the hair,
the deep shadow effect afforded by the
"Shave And A Hair Cut" system is so rich in tone.
All praise to Joe Alter for that.]
I have improved on the look of the eyeball.
I have a lot of complains from my family, friends & well people who surrounds me that
they cannot stand the rubbery look of the eye corner where it just flow from upper lid to lower lid
to the point that I personally cannot take it.
I ended up having to remodel the entire contour of the eye, hereby having to redo the
eye morph targets [luckily I haven?t start on the other feature morph targets].
I redo the eyelashes.
Reduce the reflectivity of the cornea[the transparent part of the eye]?Again
Adjusted the eye tear material, hopefully it looks more liquid now.
Hi Bracer ,,
i can see that your work has improved so much !
very nice eyeballes !!
Good work man ,
Thank You mrdino, I really work hard on it.
Hi Bracer again ,,
I can see that you've done a pretty much good work on the facial rigging too !
Very nice !
Can we see some animation in the future ?
Compiled the entire upper face morph of the character in one diagram.
Thanks for watching.
Thank You Everybody :D
