Hi everybody

Just a 3D matte test for a future project.
I try to combine matte (Maya, MentalRay and Photoshop), projection mapping and additional vfx in Digital fusion, like smoke and other fx.
My next step will be to modelise a 3D city...for the background.

About technique and tutorials...just good lighting and texturing...i try to understand several techniques about mattepainters...i thing it's a good idea ! Mattepainters and Digital artist inspire my work all the time...just try to analyse different pictures, photos, paints or digital pics, not important, just take the time and love to do this job

colors and composition are really cool, it is a great matte painting, the only thing I could see in the video is that the movement looks more than a simple image being scaled down than a real dolly out , parallax should do a lot of effect in the foreground buildings and elements against the background, if you did camera mapping to the 3d geometry all you have to do is a real 3d camera move ,

Yes, exactly !
It's just a simple pan...but it's correct for this step...
Next i will use a camera map with other additional effect !
