Jaaaap! Are u usign the CarPaint from the MR Shaders in MaYa?

Looks COOL your car may be to much refelctions for your Car and to much glossy in your Tires but looks really COOL und clean.

Did you use a Nurbs to model your Car? or Polys?

Im looking forward to see more about this Duel. Looks interesting.

i have to say its very difficult to work with that MR CarPaint Shader, but its the only solution i got to create a realistic carshader.
I made some test last time, i do more work next weekend. By the time iam testing some cracking effects in houdini and i build a first version of the musclessystem of the dragon.
the dragon ist not ready, but if i got the legmuscle system its easy to copy this setup to other muscles in houdini.
I hope a artist help me to texture it. i know a supervisor at work, he can texture amazing things, so i hope he helps me.

The model of the dragon with all the rigs and feathers will be complete in march 2007. i think it will be my largest project at home:-)

some notes: i animate the dragon character only with houdini. i simulate all the crushing simulations and deformation in my set with houdini. the car will be animate in Maya
I render all in Maya MentalRay.
Compositing( i build a hole 2.5D Set for Backround in Fusion with geometry import and FBX sequences)and final Grading with Fusion.
modeling in Maya and houdini
sculpting with Zbrush and Texturing with Bodypaint and Photshop.

In houdini i cache all animations( geometrie deformation) out via obj file_seqences and i wrote a script with the help of a other supervisor to import this sequences in Maya.......

i hope i forgot nothing.....huh.........a very large project, it will be consist of maybe 20 shots and 4 scenes...iif its ready in some month it will be a small 50 seconds trailer for myself to promote my knowledge. i hope i can apply at framestore cfc in London after my work at ambient entertainment.

ok i have to say, tomorrow we got a day, and i made same more tests with the car and so on..........and with fusion........i think i build some trees:-)

I made some more color tests, and i think that is the best one.
I correct all poly and nurbs error in mesh, too

mmm at the moment i got stress at work, so my homework on this trailer slow down.
