Hi, everyone.
As one of three quintessence of China, Chinese painting has a great reputation in International stage for a long time. 2D Chinese painting cartoon was born in 1960.
Now I combine traditional Chinese painting technique and style with 3D technology, created a new style of CG animation. This from short film titled "Ode to Summer" which was selected into Siggraph 2003.
I want to create more with this kind of style next step, like bring Kongfu or some mysterious elements into my film.

i see your work since you posted render tests on high end 3d and I really belive its awesome.I work in fine arts for 7 years on engraving and also try to learn more close chinese paint.I simply see your work like great conjuntion of many aspects(very difficult to learn) in the aesthetic of this very hard discipline.I cant wait to see your next proyect.

I remember this animation from SIGGRAPH, and love it everytime I watch. I don't really appreciate very much the oriental cultures but this animation is beautiful.

And if you do somtething with kung-fu I'm pretty sure this will be something amazing
