Tippett Studio® is an Academy Award®-winning VFX company specializing in high-end character animation and visual effects for theatrical movies and television commercials. Animation pioneer Phil Tippett founded the company in his garage in 1984. The first creation was a short, stop-motion dinosaur movie, Prehistoric Beast. That venture grew into today?s Tippett Studio, employing up to 165 artists and technicians occupying four buildings in Berkeley, California.
The company has created visual effects for over 70 films including The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, Drag Me to Hell, Cloverfield, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Enchanted, Hellboy, The Matrix Revolutions, Hollow Man, Starship Troopers, Jurassic Park and Robocop, and garnered multiple Emmys®, Clios®, Academy Awards®, and nominations.
